FAQ of CV702A

When I installed Rad Hat Enterprice 5.0 on CV702C with a flat panel monitor. After the install completes, the monitor goes blank with a message that says "out of range" during reboot. I tried to press "Ctrl+Alt+F1" and I could see the boot sequence text but the boot process was hung at "Enabling /etc/fstab swaps:"

Ans:

You can change the resolution to solve the question:

  1. Plus "1" at the kernel line of GRUB menu in order to go into single user mode.
  2. Edit the /etc/X11/xorg/xorg.conf and add <Modes "1024x768"> between <Depth 24> and <EndSubSection>
  3. Reboot, and the problem will be solved.
