Because of Ubuntu change the locate to put their old-release you can not update apt in orginal sourcelist. If you want to apt update in Ubuntu 18.10 you need to open your terminal in root Enter $ sudo sed -i 's/cosmic/bionic/g' /etc/apt/sources.list after you enter command you can implement apt-get update |
