FAQ for 2I640DW

1.How can I change Ubuntu21.04/Fedora34 resolution in EHL Lake CPU

Ans:

Because intel Graphic driver is not ready for EHL Lake platform

if you want to change your resolution and change your display mode

you need to edit /boot/grub/grub.cfg

change this line

$GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"

add command to this line

$GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i915.force_probe=4555"

Safe the grub and update grub

$sudo update-grub
$reboot

then you can control display mode and resolution in OS

but can not use OS display setting toolbar and if you use triple display remove one

that still get triple dispay can not control to mirror mode

<Note> Synnex Suggest Q4 test again

<Later test>Tracy test

Can display three outputs, but occasionally drops frames when playing 4K movies

When playing a video, if there are other actions that eat up CPU resources, there will be more obvious frame drops

Can be mirrored, Can be extended, Can be displayed independently Resolution

can be modified but cannot be modified alone

Need to modify the resolution of three screens at the same time to change the resolution
